Children's Aid Society would like to recognize its Champions of Children. These individuals have made a positive impact on CAS.

On November 19, 2010, CAS teamed up with the Detroit Lions to feed 758 families for Thanksgiving. We would like to recognize Keisha Walker and Kim Doverspike from Detroit Lions Community Affairs and the Lions players Cliff Avril, Andre Fluellen, Louis Delmas, Sammie Hill, Lawrence Jackson, Turk McBride, Kyle Vanden Bosch, Corey Williams, Robert Callaway, and Julian and Aimee Peterson for their generous giving.

The late James and Virginia Boswell, of East Lansing, made a donation to CAS of $268,000, one of the largest in CAS history. Virginia was a teacher and counselor, primarily at Redford Union High School, for 40 years. James taught Business Administration at the Detroit College of Business after serving in the Army Air Force. He was also a board member of CAS. At the September 15 Board Meeting, Barbara Backus and Jean Weirich (pictured, holding award), nieces of the Boswells, were presented with an award honoring the Boswell's contributions.

The Cellular Connection donated $500 to CAS on February 11, 2011, at its grand opening in Livonia, MI.
