Children's Aid Society (CAS) Appoints New Executive Director

Children’s Aid Society (CAS) has announced the appointment of Billie Christian to the position of Executive Director. As Executive Director, she will be responsible for managing all agency programs and staff, program development, resource development and strategic planning.

Ms. Christian joined CAS in 1996 as a Social Worker.  In her 12 years with the organization, she has served a variety of roles: after being promoted to Program Supervisor in 1998, she was promoted to the position of Program Development Administrator in 2000. Prior to becoming Executive Director, she served as Chief Operating Officer, a position she held since 2003.

A Detroit native, Ms. Christian attended Detroit Public Schools and received her Master’s of Social Work degree in 2007 from Eastern Michigan University. She has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor College, and also attended Wayne County Community College and Lewis College of Business.
