	Candlelight Vigil 12/10/2009 On December 10, 2009, CAS hosted a candlelight vigil. Participants in the vigil joined together at the Woodward entrance to Youthville. Billie Christian, our Executive Director, began the vigil by lighting her candle and sharing her flame with the person next to her. That person shared the flame with the next person, and so on. The flame symbolizes our unity as a community and our commitment to children, youth and families in Southeastern Michigan and around the world. It also stands for our ongoing commitment to reduce youth violence in Metro Detroit.
